The Acrobats

This sculpture was commissioned by the Leidos Corporation for it’s corporate headquarters. It depicts eight people, supported by a Leidos symbol, the vertex, balanced in humanly impossible poses. They are cooperating, joyous and celebratory in their achievement. Several of them hold geometric shapes (sphere, pyramid, cone, vertex, etc.) alluding to their achievement being in the realms of science.

This sculpture was partly inspired by CEO Roger Krone’s statement “We’re building the Leidos brand and we’re really building it through performance.”
