A Cincinnati Sculpture

The University of Cincinnati commissioned me to sculpt this bas-relief plaque of their former faculty member, Neil Armstrong, for the entrance to Rhodes Hall.  The composition is inspired by a photo of him, a shy man, sitting on some bleachers at Nippert Stadium, deep in thought, while working on a paper airplane (he would use them in his aerodynamics classes).

Cast stone, acrylic paint, wax.
