father, child & the milky way

A tribute to fatherhood. I love looking at the night sky, never more so than when I would have one of my kids in my arms—“tinkle tars” one of them called the stars.  In this piece I focused on the hands & the loving touches they convey, showing awe in their intimacy while gazing at infinity.

Father and child sculptures are quite rare.

I had always wanted to make a sculpture of the Milky Way.  To my knowledge no other sculptor has ever done it before.  Take that, Phidias, Michelangelo, Rodin, & Henry Moore!  Mwah-ha-ha!
